Murray Irrigation is seeking an Internal Audit and Risk Manager, to be based in Deniliquin. 

The position

We have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Audit and Risk Manager to join our organisation to manage all aspects of risk management and internal audit.

Reporting to the Executive Manager Assurance & Company Secretary this role will be responsible for the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal audit and risk management function, including implementation of best practice internal audit and risk management initiatives and identification, management and reporting of key corporate risks and compliance with laws, regulations and internal controls.

Additionally, you will also provide internal audit, compliance, risk and assurance advice and service to management, the finance, audit & risk Committee and internal stakeholders.  

The perfect candidate

You will be highly regarded for your relationship building and communication skills and confidence in providing quality risk management and internal audit advice to senior management and the Board. You will enjoy working autonomously in a challenging and high-volume workload environment. 

Relevant tertiary qualifications and previous experience in risk management and internal audit is a must with experience in risk management for major projects and/or infrastructure being an advantage.
