Murray Irrigation is seeking 1 x Control Systems Engineer, to be based in Deniliquin.

The position

Reporting directly to the Control Systems Manager, the Control System Engineer is responsible for improving the integrity and performance of the company's fleet of technological assets used to perform water delivery activities.

The Control System Engineer will provide technical expertise for operations and maintenance groups, prioritising improvements based on agreed outcomes to best achieve business goals acting as the interface between Water Delivery and other groups within Murray Irrigation.

This is a pivotal role within the business focusing on exceeding service delivery standards by monitoring network performance, as well as preventing and eliminating control systems interruptions whilst also managing the risks and security of the control system.

The perfect candidate

  • Relevant qualification and/or experience in the design, operation, configuration and maintenance of Electrical, Instrumentation and SCADA control systems, RTUs, and Telemetry applications
  • Ability to develop and deliver fit-for-purpose engineering solutions adhering to AS/NZS and Murray Irrigation standards
  • Demonstrated background in control systems infrastructure, maintenance and reliability practices
  • Ability to train personnel and develop reliability centred maintenance schedules
  • Proven knowledge and application in the development, implementation, commissioning, and management of project specific duties
  • Ability to develop and implement engineering work scopes and associated budgets within your area of expertise
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team environment
  • Clear understanding of SCADA Communication protocols (i.e. MDLC, DNP3, MODBUS, etc.)
  • Clear understanding of SCADA Communication mediums (i.e. Radio, Fibre, Ethernet, etc.)
  • Proven working experience under ITIL practices
