Business Update

Low flying aerial photogrammetry survey

Murray Irrigation would like to advise customers and the community that aerial photogrammetry survey flights will be taking place over the footprint during February and March 2025.

These flights will be occurring at around 1000 feet in some areas to survey Murray Irrigation assets, including infrastructure and channels, for the company to use as part of our Foundational Asset Condition Assessment project.

The purpose of this asset inspection project is to collect data so the company can make informed decisions to ensure Murray Irrigation is sustainable for future generations.

The aerial survey is focusing on company assets across the whole footprint and is being conducted in line with the company’s privacy policy found
here

These flights are expected to take place during February and March 2025. Dates may vary depending on weather conditions.

Murray Irrigation will keep customers and the community informed via Talking Water if these dates are expected to change.

In the meantime, customers can expect to see Murray Irrigation staff and contractors on channel banks preparing for surveying work from tomorrow (Wednesday 22 January) onwards.

For more information on this asset inspection project, read our Customer Update below.

Murray Irrigation was pleased to support the Deniliquin Outdoor Pools Inc's Town Intensive Learn to Swim Program, which wrapped up last Friday.

A total 145 local children participated in the 10-day swim program, which has been incredibly well-received by the community, even earning itself a 2025 Edward River Council Australia Day Award nomination in the Community Event/Initiative of the Year category.

Our Customer Service Team Leader, Jayne Crompton, was poolside to present the beaming children with their certificates of completion.

You can read more about the success of this swimming program in the article below.

Murray Irrigation has supported this initiative through our annual Learn to Swim Sponsorship Program, which is made possible through the assistance of our customers.
