Customer in Focus - the Rorato family

The Rorato brothers, Louciano, Sergio and Robert.

Up next in our Customer in Focus series is the tale of Italian immigrants Robert, Louciano and Sergio Rorato, who settled in Jerilderie in the mid-1960s.

Their story celebrates the rich history of family farming in our region and the lasting legacies that continue to shape new generations of farmers.

Tips for reducing the risk of harvester fires

With harvest season almost upon us, GRDC and fire safety experts are encouraging growers to implement practical measures to reduce the risk of harvester fires.

All harvesters are prone to fire, but crop and machine losses can be minimised with hygiene, inspection and maintenance.

To help promote good practice, GRDC has developed 'Reducing harvest fires: The Back Pocket Guide', which provides an easy-to-read checklist for minimising risk.

Everyone involved in harvesting, including chaser bin drivers and those responsible for machinery maintenance, can help to reduce the possibility of fire and its impact should it occur.

You can check out the back pocket guide below.
