Operational Update

NSW DCCEEW water allocation update

The NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) has released its latest water allocation update this afternoon.

Operations to continue as normal over Easter

Murray Irrigation's water delivery, maintenance, and phone support services, which run from 6.30am to 6.30pm, seven days a week, will be operating as normal over Easter. 

For emergencies and water delivery issues after 6.30pm, please call our emergency number on 1300 657 313.


Customer reminder to update account details to ANZ

Murray Irrigation has almost finalised the transition of our banking partner from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) to ANZ.
 
We announced this change in December 2023. 
 
With this transition almost complete, this means that our CBA bank accounts (both Operational and Water Exchange) will be closing shortly.
 
For customers who yet to update their accounts with our new ANZ banking details, we ask that you please make the switch as soon as possible.

Used company Utes for sale

Murray Irrigation is disposing of 13 used Utes from our corporate fleet.

This process is being carried out via online auction, which his being managed by Manheim Industrial Auctions.

The auction starts on 24 April and finishes on 28 April.

The vehicles can be inspected at the Deniliquin Depot on Wednesday 23 April and Thursday 24 April between 9.00 am and 12 noon, by appointment with Ian Tiger MacKnight:

Feasibility Study funding

As announced to customers via email and SMS last Thursday, Murray Irrigation is pleased to advise that the Funding Deed for a feasibility study to explore what is required to bolster the efficiency and resilience of our irrigation networks in an era of water recovery has been finalised.
 
The value of this Funding Deed is $6 million, which will be divided between Murray Irrigation and our fellow southern irrigation infrastructure operators, Coleambally Irrigation Cooperative Limited and Murrumbidgee Irrigation Limited, under a project called Business Resilient Southern Irrigation Districts (BRSID).
 

Murray Irrigation will be undertaking a customer and shareholder survey as part of the BRSID project. Details of this survey will be shared shortly.

Funding Deed for Feasibility Study finalised

Foundational Asset Condition Assessment Project update

Murray Irrigation is continuing to make steady progress with the survey work being undertake across the footprint as part of our Foundational Asset Condition Assessment Project (FACAP). 

The Ground Control Survey is now 100% complete, while the Aerial Survey work is now 50% captured and the Bathymetric Survey 15% complete.

Southern Growers AGM tomorrow

The Southern Growers is hosting its Annual General Meeting tomorrow (Wednesday 16 April).

The meeting will be held at the Finley Country Club - Back Room, commencing at 7.00pm.
