Operational Update

Maintenance complete - all areas now in Regular Operation

All maintenance areas have transitioned to Regular Operation, effective 12 August 2023, in accordance with our Season Operating Plan.

Our rolling three-year Maintenance Strategy has allowed a total of 1,979 ML to be delivered on farm to customers in non-maintenance areas during our Winter Operations, between 1 June and 10 August. 

Each year, we conduct maintenance works on one third of the system, so customers have access to water over winter and early season delivery for two of every three years. 

Guaranteed water deliveries are now available to all customers with less than one day’s notice for orders. 

Supplementary access

WaterNSW has extended access to supplementary water delivery until 19 August, with a further extension likely. 

Affected customers have been notified via SMS of the change in access to supplementary delivery.

Ordering water within our Customer Portal is an easy process. Simply log in, select 'New' under the Orders tab and follow the prompts from there.

Please note, order starts, changes or finishes must be placed before 6:30am or 6:30pm for the order to be activated in the next 12-hour period.

Business Update

Five nominations received for Murray Irrigation Board

Murray Irrigation has received five eligible nominations for three Member Director positions on the company’s Board.
 
A Member Director election will be conducted via electronic voting during September 2023.
 
The candidates (whose order have been determined by random draw) are:   

• Brendan Barry
• Ryan Gleeson
• Troy Mauger
• Noel Baxter
• Steven Fawns
   

Details on how to vote will be sent to shareholders prior to the ballot opening on 4 September 2023.
 
To be eligible to vote, shareholders must have paid all accounts presently due and payable by 5.00pm Thursday 31 August 2023. This is a requirement of the company’s Constitution.
