The NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) has announced a further 7% General Security Allocation for the NSW Murray yesterday, making the total to date for the 2024-25 season 42%.
The allocation has been credited to customer accounts.

If you are not planning to use your Stock & Domestic pipe outlet this season, you can apply to remove the 2 ML of usage.
A fee of $72.53 is payable.

Murray Irrigation has successfully negotiated an amended Escapes Agreement with WaterNSW to bring the delivery fee per megalitre for River Operations on parity with irrigators and the Environmental Delivery Agreement.
The Agreement, which is effective from 1 July 2024, lifts the delivery fee to $8.38 per megalitre until 30 June 2025, with an option to extend the current agreement for a second year, up until 30 June 2026.

Murray Irrigation, in conjunction with fellow IIOs Coleambally Irrigation Cooperative Limited and Murrumbidgee Irrigation Limited, has applied for funding for a feasibility study to explore what is required to bolster the efficiency and resilience of our irrigation networks amid the current environment of water recovery, and find a pathway forward that will minimise the effects of buybacks on farmers and communities.
