In the lead up to the 2024 AGM, and in response to shareholder interest, Murray Irrigation is pleased to outline the process involved in the appointment of the four replacement Member Directors, Gabrielle Coupland, Noel Graham AM, Geoff McLeod and Leanne Small, to the Board following the April general meeting.
The below media release highlights the comprehensive work undertaken by the Board-appointed Independent Selection Committee to effectively facilitate the recruitment of these four Member Directors, who bring with them a range of experience and skill sets and are contributing to positive change in both the company and Board culture.
Shareholders will have the opportunity to support these four appointments by resolution, together with the appointment of Robert Burbury for his second term as a Non-Member Director, at the company's upcoming AGM on 27 November.
In follow up to the Shareholder Discussion Groups held in September, Murray Irrigation has released a report summarising what we heard in the meetings and next steps.
You can find an outline of the findings, together with a copy of the report, in our Shareholder Update below.
As communicated in last Friday's Customer Update, Murray Irrigation is preparing a formal submission to the NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunals (IPART) voicing our opposition to WaterNSW's 2025-2030 Pricing Proposal, which is seeking prices to more than double over the five years from 1 July 2025.
We are encouraging customers to also provide your views to IPART regarding the impacts of price increases on your farm business.
You can find more information on how you can have your say, including participating in IPART's upcoming Public Hearing on 14 November, in our Customer Update below.
