Operational Update

NSW Government Allocation Announcement 

The NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) announced a 4% increase in General Security entitlements for the NSW Murray yesterday. 
 
The total cumulative allocation remains at 62% for the 2024/25 water year.

Information session - LWMP project funding

Riverina Sustainable is hosting a public information session about project funding under the Land Water Management Plan (LWMP) on Tuesday 11 February at the Deniliquin Coach House from 7.00pm.


Directors Peter Mogg, Tim Horne and Waander Van Beek will be in attendance, along with Landholder Association Council (LAC) representatives.


All are welcome and a light supper will be provided.

Murray Inland Delta Landscape Project Update 

This event will provide an update to Murray Inland Delta farmers who know of, or would like to know more about, the Murray Inland Delta's carbon, biodiversity and on-farm wetland projects.

What will be covered:


  • A quick recap of the Murray Inland Delta project (video in the ticketing link)
  • What farmers having been doing since the launch of the Murray Inland Delta Project in June 2024 (Jac McArthur)
  • Updates on the supply chain sustainability reporting, carbon, natural capital and biodiversity markets (Andrew Ward)
  • Update on the Landscape Impact Program for Murray Inland Delta (South) and Victorian Carbon Farming Program.


There will also be information on the 2025 Grants for Murray Inland Delta (North) program, which is open to farmers on the NSW side of the Murray Inland Delta Project. Ten grants of up to $5000 are available to be used for "ready-ness" for a carbon project.

The session will be followed by dinner and networking.

Free Blokes Night and BBQ

The Deniliquin Mental Health Awareness Group (MHAG) is hosting a Blokes Night at the Deniliquin Golf Club on Wednesday 12 March.

Mary O'Brien, founder of rural mental health charity, 'Are you Bogged Mate, will be guest speaker at this free event.

'Are you Bogged Mate' aims to boost awareness and start a conversation about the challenges that country men face on a daily basis.

Mary is coming to Deni to share information about warning signs, the reasons people can get bogged, getting help for yourself or giving your mate a hand.

This event starts at 6.30pm, and includes a barbecue dinner.
