How does my outlet operate?
Murray Irrigation’s control system outlets have a standard operating time every 12 hours. This is when outlets will move to start, finish or change.
In line with the operation of the control system, as shown in the below diagram, outlets can take from 30 minutes to an hour to change, commencing from the standard operating time.
The control system moves regulators to add or remove water in your pool at the same time as outlets open, close or change, to keep the water levels steady and ensure all customers get their orders.
If your outlet has not operated as expected after an hour – please contact us.
The standard operating time and the Operational Area for each of your outlet/s are listed on the My Outlets page of your Customer Portal.

Murray Irrigation's potential SDLAM project, Restoring Murray Waterways, has received a $33.5m commonwealth grant to fund the next stage of its environmental watering initiative which is focused on reviving the health of, and restoring connection to, our region’s valuable creeks and wetlands.
This is a significant step forward for the project previously known as Murray Reconnected Floodplains, which will enable us to upgrade existing infrastructure for targeted environmental water delivery to five targeted creeks while preserving landholder access during environmental watering.
We welcome the investment in this project from the Commonwealth and are pleased they recognise the value of this project. We look forward to working alongside the Federal Government to help deliver smart environmental water solutions.
